Dan Tomlin Bio
Mr. Dan Tomlin grew up in Dallas, Texas and
graduated from Hillcrest High School. He received a BBA degree from Texas
Christian University and an MBA degree, with honors, from Southern Methodist
University. He and his wife Judy have three grown children.
Mr. Tomlin began his career in the land investment and development field
in 1970. He works for Land Advisors, LTD., which currently manages a land
development and investment portfolio valued at over $350,000,000. Currently,
their largest development project is Lone Star Ranch, a 4,000 acre master planned
community located on the west side of Frisco, Texas in Denton County. The
Lone Star Ranch will ultimately house over 50,000 people. Mr.
Tomlin has provided land asset management services to individuals, partnerships,
corporations, banks and pension funds both domestic and foreign.
In the fall of 1988 he was appointed to the board of the Real Estate center
at the Wharton School of Business for six years. In March of 1988 he was
appointed honorary consul of the Federal Republic of Germany and was honored
as dean of the Dallas / Ft Worth consular corps from 1992 until 1994. In
February 2002 he received the Order of Merit awarded by the president of the
Federal Republic of Germany. In his spare time, he is a professional race
